Following a players vote Devizes Ladies are delighted to announce the appointment of Denise Warbutton as the captain for this season
Den has been one of the mainstays of the team for many seasons, having reached over 100 appearances for the club as continually puts in hard fought performances on the pitch.
Off the pitch she has also been heavily involved with the behind the scenes work that goes into running a successful team On the pitch, Den will be continually supported by Georgia Walker who was elected vice captain and Emma Matthews who will be the seasons pack leader.
Devizes Ladies have set themselves the goal of a top 4 finish in South West 1 this season and a continued recruitment drive to get more ladies involved in Rugby.
Pre Season training will commence on Wednesday July the 11th for what promises to be a hard fought, but enjoyable season. Anyone thinking of giving it a go should come along!
